We drove a long way to acquire our 2004 Jeep, and it was well worth the trip.
Your salesman, Dustin Dettwyler, was such an excellent representative. He sent me pictures of the car, from his iphone, before you had a chance to take pictures for your ad (you need to give him a new phone ;o) .... ask him).
He was able to make the price more affordable for us, even though it affected his bottom line. He even went to bat for us when we discovered that the pistons wouldn't hold the engine hood open.
You have quite an asset on your team.
We are very happy .... just wish we lived closer.

My salesperson was John. I have his card in my car but dont remember the last name. My husband had spoke with him on the phone prior to me visiting. The original plan was for my husband to come with me to get the car but he wasnt feeling well and didnt come. I have to admit I was a little nervous doing it alone. First time getting a car without my husband. However I knew the price was already agreed on and that I wouldnt have to do any negotiating which I appreciated!

John was very nice and personable and took the time to answer any and all questions. He even found out for me how long seat belts were warranteed for. My daughter has a 1993 honda and her seatbelt needs replaced. John was not in a hurry and I took quite a while to decide on the color of my civic. This was the hardest part! I was already sold on the civic and specifically the LX model. This is the 4th honda we've bought from you and will most likely always come back especially when you are able to offer the same price as the bigger dealerships in portland.

Dustan was great to work with. He was professional and respectful. Buying a car can be stressfull. Dustan took the stress out of it. We were both on the same page and it made it hassel free. I added a warranty as it is a used car and I was made to feel good about the decision by Dave as I signed papers. Will recommend O'Brian to anyone anytime....

I can not even find the words to express my gratitude and appreciation for Caleb. When I began to look for a car, I started out nervous because I have only ever owned trucks and I know very little about cars and also wanted to buy private party. My idea of a salesman at a dealership was that they were nice on the surface but generally had their own agenda, that they were pushy, and that they only cared about selling you a car. Don't get me wrong, I experienced this at every other dealership I went to. I could not get out of there without at least one person asking me "what can I do today to get you into a new car" when my first statement was that I was just beginning to look for a new vehicle. I work in customer service and to feel as if I have been blatantly ignored as to my purpose for being there is irritating and beyond not appreciated.


I found nothing of the sort in working with Caleb and in conversations with others at your dealership. It was almost as if he fir the car to me. He listen to what I said and showed me several vehicles that he thought might work. When they didn't he wanted to know why so that he could better fit me to a car. Caleb was patient and explained things in terms that even someone who knows nothing about cars like myself could understand.

I know that I have hardly had my keys for 24 hours, but I love my car. If this car keeps driving like it is, I'm not sure I could own anything other than a BMW. It is by far the most comfortable and enjoyable car I have ever driven. I know that a lot of people have the same idea I had about salesmen at dealerships but if you have people like Caleb around, it is entirely possible to show that there are amazing salesmen out there. I would work with him again in an instant and look forward to doing business at O'Brien in the future.

I worked with Jeff Jaynes- he listened to what I wanted, and I never felt pressured to purchase features or services I didn't feel I needed. Plus, I am very happy with my new Honda!

The brief note below we sent yesterday to Jeff, provides initial reactions.

Preliminary impressions of your service department are that we wish we lived closer. Sean was quite helpful in discussing our concern about clunkiness/binding of the automatic transmission selector (maybe simply tightness from being brand new--and hopefully will resolve itself). Moreover, first indications are that the pre-delivery inspection was done better than others we have seen; e.g. oil level was appropriate (other new cars often not; worse, sometimes overfilled), and tire pressure was correct and consistent for all wheels (though noticeable water sprayed from one valve stem=compressor maintenance needed); one previous new VW was delivered with ~45 to over 55 psi!

I also want to note that your flexibility, in allowing us to decline agreement to arbitration played a pivotal role in our choosing to buy from you (a few other dealers were similarly flexible). To summarize my perspective on Required/Binding/Mandatory/Forced "Arbitration" (or "Dispute Resolution"): I do not want to preemptively discard rights to litigation, in case things somehow did go badly wrong. In buying eight previous new cars, I've never had a situation arise where it would matter. I also have never had a house fire, yet we continue to buy fire insurance, year after year. If it was not in favor of the dealer, it would be optional, or it wouldn't be on the contract. Nationally, auto dealers would not collectively have spent hundreds of millions, lobbying to prevent the very same thing between manufacturers and dealerships. So, thank you for understanding and working with us on this matter.

Overall, so far we are quite happy with our purchase, and will gladly recommend your dealership to others.

This is the first time we have purchased a vehicle utilizing the internet.
It was a wonderful experience and I have only positive things to say
regarding our salesman, Caleb Moore. He responded quickly to my initial
email inquiry (two other Oregon BMW dealerships didn't even respond until
days later) and even follow-up with a phone call on the same day. The car
was just as advertised and the instructions for producing a value for our
trade-in were easy to follow and reasonable.
We had our own financing in place through my employer and I was pleased to
not be pressured into accepting any other financing when we came to finalize
the transaction.

I have only great things to say about the entire process. We anticipate
purchasing a vehicle for our daughter in the spring and will certainly be
back to work with Caleb again. (She'll not be getting a BMW; it will be a
Honda :)

Overall, my experience at O’Brien exceeded all of my expectations. I was dreading the process of buying a new car, but Jeff Jaynes made it way better than I ever imagined it could be. He was extremely professional, informative and thorough and most importantly for me straight forward about the price and complete package involved with the car. I had a great experience at the O'Brien Auto Group, the salesman that helped us (Ryan Pfaff) did a great job of making us feel comfortable with the purchase, he was very knowledgeable with the vehicle and he did not attempt to pressure us into making a decision. After week's of Internet research on vehicles I decided to purchase a car from O'Brien because of the great online reviews you have received, I was not disappointed. The level of service I foud when I arrived to the moment I left was spot on. Brandon was very helpful and I appreciated his positive, easy going attitude. You can only imagine the horror stories one hears about car salesmen and I was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case at your dealership.
